Misa has always been a creative spirit, and after working almost ten years in the veterinary field, she decided to seek something that would fulfill her creative drive. Having had memories of helping her grandmother make candles as a child, she decided to take a crack at it. Consulting her grandmother for the recipe gave her the spark that is now the fire underneath Hartness Home-goods!
With her little shop in Anahuac, TX, she hopes to provide a unique shopping experience available to everyone in the area and those on the way to the beach.

What began as a hobby blossomed into the inspiration for a candle and gift shop in a small town. Starting the business was quite scary for Misa, as this is a very saturated market. When the opportunity to get a shop came available, Misa quit the very stressful veterinary world for her own business. With the help and support of her husband, family, and friends, she is determined to keep expanding her business.
With her little shop in Anahuac, TX, she hopes to provide a unique shopping experience available to everyone in the area and those on the way to the beach.

Misa assisted her grandmother in making candles in her kitchen at a young age. Misa has always had an interest in interior design and a love for anything creative. Understanding the importance of family and the need for a comfortable and safe space, she tried to create candles that would spark happy memories or help make new ones.
I'm sorry but, if you're buying any other wax melts you're wasting your money. THESE wax melts last between 3 to 4 days!!! The scent is like nothing you will find at your local grocery store...you know the one. Hartness Home-goods is THE wax melt and candle shop of your dreams. My two favorites are Witch's Brew and Nag Champa. But I also love Hippie days, Harvest, and Gator's Breath. She'll keep you on your toes with new scents, so ya best keep up!
I can't recommend this company enough. It is ran by an amazing person and she puts her heart and soul into each hand poured candle!
WOW! I am so impressed! The smell of Nonnys house was SO good, I could smell it as soon as I opened the box! Such cute packaging, you can see how much love went into every part of the process. shipping was so fast! I would recommend and will be shopping again!
I finally lit this candle today, after it sat there for a week, and OMG I wish I lit it sooner!! The scent is amazing, I love it. Also I have never lit a candle and the aroma instantly fill the room the way this one did. Misa has made an amazing product! I will definitely be purchasing more candles!

I sure do love my candles! I got 3 different scents and they all burn well and the scent doesn’t overwhelm - it’s light and great!
The candles smell delicious & burn evenly. The scent lingers nicely after candle is put out, even in a pet house hold like mine. Update: I recently ordered another glass candle. I'm usually VERY careful with them well, I'm clumsy and ended up dropping it on a tile floor ( As I was opening it) , I panicked. ITS PERFECTLY FINE! Idk what glass is used but, if you're a goof like me... Its sturdy. Lol
